Smart Web Agency is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This pivotal role requires a candidate with a strong background in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Events) industry and a proven track record of success in the Middle East market. As our Business Development Manager, the individual will be instrumental in driving sales, building, and nurturing relationships with clients, and identifying opportunities for business growth within the Middle East region.


  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence in the Middle East region, with a specific focus on the MICE industry.
  • Leverage extensive industry knowledge and experience to identify and engage with current and potential clients, building strong relationships and understanding their unique business needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on industry trends and developments.
  • Proactively seek out new leads and generate a robust pipeline of potential clients within the Middle East MICE industry.
  • Present and pitch our new product solutions relating to registration, abstracts and accommodation, demonstrating the value and benefits to clients in a compelling manner.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients, ensuring win-win agreements and long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate closely with the technical development team to tailor solutions to meet client requirements and exceed their expectations.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and market trends to the management team.
  • Stay informed about competitors' activities and industry developments, leveraging this knowledge to gain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Represent Smart Web Agency at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to build brand visibility and forge strategic partnerships.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance and recommendations on software development solutions that align with their business goals and objectives.
  • Work closely with the project management team to ensure seamless handover of client requirements and expectations, ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.


  • Existing relationships and a proven track record of success in the Middle East market, with the ability to leverage these connections to drive business growth.
  • Strong understanding of the intricacies of the MICE industry, along with an extensive PR within the region.
  • In-depth knowledge of tools and technologies commonly used in the events industry, including event management software, registration systems, virtual event platforms, and attendee engagement tools.
  • Experience working with and leveraging these tools and technologies to drive sales and deliver innovative solutions to clients in the events industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate the value of our solutions to potential clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities within the Middle East MICE market.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a track record of consistently exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling you to navigate complex client requirements and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing.
