The aim was to future-proof the system without disrupting the look, feel, or functionality of their existing store.
Here’s what we focused on:
- Safe Core Upgrade
We upgraded the OpenCart core to the latest 3.0.4.1 version, carefully retaining all custom features and existing extensions. - Custom Theme Migration
The existing custom theme was carried over and adjusted where needed, so the visual experience stayed consistent for customers. - Extension Testing & Updates
We tested all essential modules including shipping, payment gateways, and admin tools and updated anything that wasn’t compatible with the new version. - Full Backup & Rollback Plan
